Arusha, Ngorongoro and Serengeti National Park Tour Overview

This 5 day 4 night private luxury safari starts and ends in Arusha and visits the Northern and Central Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Highlights include a scenic flight to Kogatende in the Northern Serengeti to witness the Great Migration, multiple full day guided game drives in the Serengeti plains and Ngorongoro Crater, stays at comfortable lodges and a tented migration camp, picnic lunches in the bush, and professional driver guide services. Day 1

Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha

5-Day Serengeti Migration and Big Five Luxury Safari

Upon arrival in Arusha you will be welcomed by your professional driver guide and transferred by road from Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha. Depending on arrival time you may enjoy a short guided city tour of Arusha including local markets and the lively town atmosphere to get a first impression of Tanzanian culture. After the tour you will head to Arusha Villa for relaxation, dinner and an overnight stay as you prepare for the safari.

Day 2

Arusha to Kogatende (Northern Serengeti)

Your safari begins in the morning. At 08:00 AM you will be picked up from your lodge and transferred to Arusha Airport for a scenic flight to the Northern Serengeti. The flight departs at 10:00 AM and arrives at 11:00 AM at Kogatende Airstrip. On arrival you meet your driver guide and embark on a full day game drive in the Northern Serengeti where you will seek migration herds, predators and other wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush and in the late afternoon drive slowly to Nyikani Migration Camp Kogatende to relax, have dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti to Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge

Wake up to the Serengeti wilderness and after breakfast at around 07:00 AM begin another day of game viewing. Travel from the Northern Serengeti toward the wildlife rich Central Serengeti where year round animal concentrations and predators offer excellent viewing. Enjoy a picnic lunch while continuing game drives in search of lions, elephants, leopards, hyenas and large herbivore herds. In the late afternoon arrive at Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge where you will relax, enjoy dinner and overnight on the plains.

Day 4

Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area (Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge)

After breakfast continue exploring the vast plains of Central Serengeti with morning wildlife sightings and guided game drives. In the late afternoon make a scenic drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area crossing changing landscapes into the lush highlands. Arrive at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater where you will enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening with crater views.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Rise early and enjoy breakfast before visiting the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint. Descend into the crater for a full day game drive on the crater floor, a unique ecosystem home to high concentrations of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, flamingos and black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater, then ascend the crater walls in the late afternoon and drive back to Arusha where the safari concludes.
